Medline Industries, Inc.'s Ultralight Transport Chair has a frame made of lightweight aluminum and weighs in at just 14.8 pounds, making it 25 percent lighter than similar wheelchairs supplied by competitors but it's still strong enough to support weights of up to 300 lbs. The seat is a spacious 19 inches by 16 inches and is made of breathable nylon, as is the rest of the upholstery. The back of the chair folds down for ease of transportation and also has a keyring along with multiple pockets for such things as your cell phone, billfold or MP3 player, identification tag and a drinking bottle. The arm rests are "restaurant style" and are comfortable and the chair comes with a seat belt for additional safety. The handy cup holder on the front of the chair makes it easy for the patient to take along their favorite beverage.
